AAF TAMPA BAY OFFERS FIRST EVER ADVERTISING ETHICS CERTIFICATION

Ethics2AAF Tampa Bay joined with the American Advertising Federation (AAF) and the Institute for Advertising Ethics (IAE) to offer an “Ethics in Advertising” course on Tuesday, October 25th. At the completion of the half-day session, participants received a Certificate for the Practice of Enhanced Advertising Ethics. Nine bay area companies took advantage of this first-of-its-kind certificate class presented by Wally Snyder, IAE Executive Director, AAF Board Member & President Emeritus, and Visiting Professor, Missouri School of Journalism. District Chair Valerie Staggs reports this year’s National Student Advertising Competitiion (NSAC) is gearing up. Students throughout D4 will be working on a very colorful case study for Glidden. Four schools are registered to compete so far including returning champions University of Miami as well as Florida State University, Ringling College of Art and Design and Northwood University. There’s still plenty of time to register, though! Interested schools should contact valerie@rwads.com for information or submit their Intent to Participate form, available at www.aaf.org. The competition is scheduled for April 18-19, 2013 in Jacksonville.
