March 30, 2010 - AAF Tampa Bay to service Warrick Dunn Foundation

Enter Text Here,

The American Advertising Federation of Tampa Bay chapter has chosen a nonprofit to provide a pro bono public service campaign.

The Warrick Dunn Foundation is the trade organization’s public service campaign recipient for 2010. The nonprofit is dedicated to providing opportunities for economically disadvantaged single parents and children who have demonstrated a commitment to achieve financial independence and stability.

AAF Tampa Bay said it is committed to community involvement and making a positive impact through advertising skills and expertise. Every year, it gives back by providing a public service campaign to help promote the mission of a local nonprofit organization.

AAF Tampa Bay exists to support its members, the community and the advertising industry. Its mission is to promote fellowship, education and career enhancement among members of the advertising community; foster and recognize excellence in advertising; champion public service causes; build an understanding of the role and benefits of advertising at all levels; and encourage advertising self-regulation and continuous improvement to raise industry benchmarks, its Web site shows. The organization serves advertising professionals from the Tampa Bay community, including Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Citrus and Hernando counties.

AAF Tampa Bay is a chapter of the American Advertising Federation, which was established in 1967 when two regional advertising organizations joined forces. AAF is headquartered in Washington and has an office in San Francisco. It represents more than 50,000 advertising men and women in all industry segments, working together to achieve the AAF mission.

AAF Tampa Bay said it is looking for graphic designers, copywriters, social media professionals, event planners and account executives with creative ideas to provide input to an upcoming brainstorming meeting related to the 2010 AAF Tampa Bay Public Service campaign.
